    Pressure gauge calibration

    Precision in every pressure measurement

Calibrating a pressure gauge is essential to ensure reliable and accurate readings. At EMVO Techniek, our technicians verify the measurement accuracy and compare results with a calibrated reference instrument. This process guarantees that your gauges meet all requirements and accuracy tolerances. During calibration, we test multiple measurement points across the full range, from zero to maximum pressure. We identify any deviations and, where possible, correct them, so your gauge provides accurate readings again.

After calibration, you receive an official certificate with all measured values and corrections. This document supports quality assurance, audits, and compliance with safety standards. Furthermore, regular calibration prevents mechanical stress, vibrations, pressure peaks, and ageing from affecting measurement accuracy. Therefore, timely calibration avoids unreliable readings and potential safety risks in your processe

How is pressure gauge calibration performed?

We connect the gauge to a calibrated pressure pump and measure at fixed points across the entire range. Typically, we use about six measurement points.

We set the applied pressure with high precision, up to approximately 0.02%, which allows us to determine deviations accurately. At each point, we check whether the gauge reading matches the actual pressure. Thus, the process ensures precise and reliable measurements throughout the range.

    Ultra-fast calibration at EMVO Techniek

At EMVO Techniek, you can calibrate your gauges quickly, without long waiting times. Thanks to efficient procedures and specialised equipment, we issue an official calibration certificate within a short timeframe. This certificate clearly lists all measured values and corrections. As a result, you can resume reliable operation immediately. Moreover, fast turnaround minimizes downtime in your processes.

    Accuracy, class and documentation

Each gauge has an accuracy class that defines its maximum deviation relative to the full scale. For example, a 0–10 bar gauge with class 1.0 may deviate by a maximum of 1% of the range.

After calibration, we apply a calibration label. The certificate shows the exact readings for each measurement point in relation to the applied pressure. Thus, you obtain full transparency and traceability, which supports audits and process verification.

Turnaround time, pressure ranges and repair

We calibrate gauges up to 1000 bar within 24 hours of receipt and usually return them within one to two working days. For gauges above 1000 bar, we outsource calibration to a specialised partner, which may extend turnaround time.

If a gauge falls outside specification, we first assess whether repair is possible. Whenever possible, we correct minor deviations or mechanical issues. Only if repair is not feasible, we reject the gauge and consult with you on next steps.

      Frequently Asked Questions

      What is pressure gauge calibration?

Calibration is the process of checking your pressure gauge’s readings against a certified reference instrument. This ensures your gauge provides accurate and reliable measurements.

How often should a pressure gauge be calibrated?

We recommend annual calibration. However, gauges that are used intensively or in critical applications may require more frequent calibration to maintain accuracy.

What does a maintenance contract include?

A maintenance contract with EMVO Techniek ensures your measuring instruments are periodically inspected, calibrated, and, if necessary, repaired. This keeps your pressure gauges reliable and compliant with industry standards.

Do I receive a report after calibration?

Yes. Every calibration comes with an official report detailing all measured values and any adjustments made. This documentation is essential for quality control, audits, and certification purposes.

How quickly can my pressure gauge be calibrated?

We offer ultra-fast calibration at EMVO Techniek, allowing you to quickly resume accurate measurements. Your official calibration report is provided promptly, typically within one to two business days.

Can EMVO Techniek advise me on which pressure gauge I need?

Absolutely. Our team of specialists can guide you in selecting the right pressure gauge for your application and provide advice on calibration schedules and maintenance contracts.
