At EMVO Techniek, you can find special oxygen pressure gauges for measuring pressure in oxygen, that are directly available from stock. Depending on your location, you could have your pressure gauge delivered within a day. Our oxygen pressure gauges have a brass mechanism, a blow-out function for safety, and are imprinted with an oxygen hallmark.

Applications for an oxygen pressure gauge

An oxygen pressure gauge is especially designed for measuring pressure in oxygen gas. They are designed for use in environments where oxygen is present. For example:

  • Medical purposes;
  • Welding and cutting operations;
  • Diving equipment;
  • Oxygen concentrators.

Materials

The material of the manometer must be oxygen resistant, as well as compatible. Oxygen can be extremely reactive, increasing the risk of explosions or fire when it makes contact with inflammable or otherwise unsuitable materials. For that reason, our oxygen gauges are all made of brass and stainless steel.

Safety of an oxygen pressure gauge

Special safety standards and regulations exist to ensure, that oxygen pressure gauges can be used safely in oxygen rich environments. Naturally, our oxygen gauges comply with these standards and regulations.

For oxygen gas pressure only

For safety, and also for durability of the instrument, it is important that an oxygen pressure gauge is only used to measure pressure in oxygen gas. Do not use this gauge for any other gasses or fluids. It may lead to very dangerous situations, besides from the damage that could be done to the instrument.

Blow-out function

Our oxygen pressure gauges are equipped with a blow-out function. That means, a rubber disk is mounted on the back of the instrument. In case of severe overpressure, it will come off the gauge, so that all built pressure can escape safely through the back. This prevents the instrument from exploding, and that broken glass and metal splinters will not hurt anyone.

Ensure ample scale range

Of course, preventing such an explosion is essential. Therefore, make sure that you choose a pressure gauge with an ample scale range. Maximum oxygen pressure in case of stable pressure can be up to 75% of its maximum scale range. In case of variable pressure, maximum pressure cannot exceed two thirds of the scale range. This gives sufficient margin, and pressure can increase a little, without any dangerous consequences. Furthermore, it is essential that the distance between the pressure gauge and the wall or the panel is at least 20 mm, so the blow out safety measure and all accumulated pressure can escape safely.

Calibrate your oxygen pressure gauge

To guarantee durability and proper functioning of the instrument, it is important to calibrate the pressure gauge periodically. To that end, EMVO Techniek has a modern calibration station. Within one or two working days, we can return your calibrated pressure gauge!
