Do you need a low-pressure gauge? EMVO Techniek has the right solution for you. With over 40 years of experience, EMVO Techniek is not only a major wholesaler of pressure gauges and thermometers, but also a manufacturer. This allows us to offer a very wide range of gauges and thermometers, all available directly from stock.
Measuring low pressure with a pressure gauge
A pressure gauge, or manometer, allows you to measure the pressure of a gas or liquid. Most gauges operate according to the Bourdon (or tube spring) principle. A needle on a graduated dial indicates the pressure of the medium. The scale is always matched to the pressure being measured. This means the gauge’s maximum range should be at least one third higher than the normal maximum pressure in the medium.
This provides a safety margin, allows abnormal values to be read, and protects the gauge from damage caused by pressure spikes or overload.
Applications of low-pressure gauges
Low-pressure gauges are useful in many situations. For example, a vacuum gauge measures very low pressures—or even the total absence of pressure—in a vacuum. These gauges always have a scale in millibar, as vacuum pressure ranges between 0 and 1 bar.
Gases or liquids that operate at low pressures can also be measured with a millibar-scale low-pressure gauge.
Why measure pressure?
Monitoring the pressure of gases or liquids in a process is essential. It ensures process quality and allows you to detect leaks or unexpected pressure increases or decreases.
Two models for low pressure
We offer two different models of low-pressure gauges. Both feature a stainless steel (RVS) case. The difference is in the connection: either at the bottom or the back. Both types are available in case diameters of 63 mm or 100 mm. Gauges can be supplied for any pressure range.
